Great Work acknowledged and appreciated by Scientific Community; Swedish Scientist gets medicine nobel for work on Human evolution

 



                                                           


Svante Paabo, born on 20 April 1955 in  Stockholm, Sweden is a Swedish-Estonian geneticist specialising in the field of evolutionary genetics


As one of the founders of paleogenetics, he has worked extensively on the Neanderthal genome. He is the founding director of the Department of Genetics at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig, Germany, since 1997.He is also a professor at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology, Japan.


He won the nobel Prize in medicine on 03.10.2022.for his extra ordinary contribution and discoveries on human evoultion that provided key insights into our immune system and what makes us unique compared with our extincts cousins
